It's a wrap! This year, a small team of riders and support crew rode over 215kms in two stages, travelling through some of South Australia’s most picturesque rural regions: the Clare Valley, the Barossa Valley and the Adelaide Hills, finishing up in Glenelg.
Along the way, the team visited two local primary schools to deliver our Be Fit, Be Healthy, Be Happy program. Together, we raised awareness that 1 in 3 cancers are preventable and that by making simple, healthy lifestyle choices, they can reduce their cancer risk.
We know that for every 100km a patient lives from radiotherapy, they have a 6% greater chance of dying than city patients. The team delivered $10,000 to three different local cancer projects along the route. Our aim is to positively impact those people affected by cancer in regional Australia.
