Tour de Cure is proud and delighted to announce that Board Member and Gala Committee Chair Dominique Robinson has received an Order of Australia Medal.
Dominique is the fourth Tour de Cure (TDC) member to receive such an honour, recognising her years of dedicated work in funding cancer research, support and prevention.
Joining the Tour de Cure Board in 2008 after losing several close friends and colleagues to cancer, Dominique is the driving force behind Tour de Cure’s Gala Events. Since 2014, the Snow Ball and Spring Lunch have raised in excess of $14million and further to this Dominique has been instrumental in bringing in new partnerships such as ABC Bullion to raise further funds. Together these have funded some major projects with cancer partners such as CCIA, Canteen, Cure Brain Cancer, Sony Foundation, Charlie Teo Foundation, Kids Cancer Centre, PanKind and the Melanoma Institute of Australia.
Dominique says “We have not given up. Cancer didn't take a break last year. Our mission hasn't changed and we need to keep driving cancer awareness and ensure people continue to seek medical help despite the fear of COVID-19.”
Dominique shares this honour with other TDC Board Members:
Geoff Coombes OAM, Co-Founder and Business Development Director.
Bruno Maurel OAM, Founding and Current Chairman.
Mark Beretta OAM, Board Member, Rider and Seven Network Presenter.
