The nationwide Tour de Cure family is shocked by the tragic loss of one of our riders in a single bike accident this morning. The rider was part of a group on a training ride for an upcoming event.
The accident is currently under Police investigation. The incident occurred on the Old Pacific Highway, just south of Mt White (north of Sydney) at approximately 9.45am.
Tour de Cure operates cancer charity rides throughout Australia, and is renowned for adhering to the highest safety standards.
Tour de Cure riders and their supporters have raised in excess of $65million for cancer research in the past 14 years.
The entire Tour de Cure family extends our sympathies to the family of the rider. We will be there to support them in every way we can.
