    PROJECT TYPE Research

Suppressing the growth of pancreatic cancer

As pancreatic cancer (PC) is highly metastatic, the aim of this project is to develop novel targets and therapeutics that suppress the growth of PC, but also metastasis. This project will elucidate the role of the unfolded protein response (UPR) in PC progression and examine its effect on tumour helper cells, which aid cancer progression. Increasing our knowledge of the role of the UPR in PC progression will contribute to the development of more effective anti-cancer drugs.
