"Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma is the most aggressive of all childhood cancers. Standard treatment with radiotherapy is only palliative and chemotherapy has been ineffective due to the difficulty of the drugs to penetrate the brain. This project will determine the pre‐clinical efficacy of chemotherapeutic agents using a novel targeted delivery method. Positive results will allow for immediate clinical application in an ongoing clinical trial."
