Prevention of bowel cancers arising from the serrated neoplasia pathway

Approximately 25% of bowel cancers occur in the setting of the serrated neoplastic pathway. Improving our understanding of the role of age in the serrated neoplasia pathway is crucial for developing informed screening guidelines that allow us to identify and scrutinise the most at-risk patient populations, thus aiding in the prevention of bowel cancers arising from the serrated neoplasia pathway.
