Small amounts, big impact
Could you give up one or two coffees a week? Giving a small, regular donation might not seem like much each week or month, but over a year, you can have a big impact. That’s the power of a regular donation.
It’s a simple, low cost and effective way to help us get closer to our mission to find a cure for cancer. You can set up a regular donation here, or investigate if a workplace giving option is available to you.
One of the easiest ways to make a regular donation is via workplace giving. And because a workplace giving program means you make a pre-tax donation, you can increase the impact you have without feeling the pinch to your own pocket.
Here’s how it works:
Speak to your workplace giving team or payroll officer and complete the appropriate forms
Your donation amount is deducted from your pay each pay cycle before tax
Your generous support goes to Tour de Cure regularly
You get a tax benefit each pay day.
You don’t need to give a lot each month to have a big impact. Just $20 a month can help us provide a cancer patient with a chemo wig, and $65 a month can cover a month’s living costs for a PhD research student. Every dollar helps us to get closer to curing cancer and changing lives.
If your work doesn’t support a workplace giving program, you can organise your donation through the Australian Tax Office. Or you can have a conversation with your payroll or HR team to start a workplace giving program at your work. If you need help with this, reach out to the Tour de Cure team or email matt@tourdecure.com.au.
As well as the power of your pre-tax regular donation, some workplaces offer a dollar matching program. Why? Because they understand the role they can play in making sure Australian communities have a sustainable future, and with 1 in 2 Australians impacted by cancer, there’s a good chance it will affect the wellbeing of their people and business. It’s worth checking if your workplace offers such a program as it’s an easy way to double your impact!
